Selling Comic Books Archives

Selling your comic books on E-bay?  Do you know how much it will cost you?  In the video below you’ll see a tool E-bay provides to see how much you’ll ultimately collect.

You can see the E-bay Fee Calculator here.

You can see the Paypal fee schedule here. (as of this writing the fee is roughly 2.9% of the transaction plus 30 cents, some discounts are available).

If you are looking to sell your Gold, Silver, Bronze or key modern comic books, ComicLink is accepting consignments for their June focused auction.  You can get the details here.

ComicLink is a recommended alternative if you don’t want to deal with E-bay and you want to have excellent traffic for your comic books from dedicated collectors.  If you think this option may be for you, take a look at their benefits and selling options here.

How Not to Display a Comic Picture on E-bay

Sometimes you see a mistake on E-bay that provides a special “teaching moment”, a mistake too good to pass up.

While searching for some key books I came across a Star Wars #1, 35 cent variant. One of the high priced keys of the Bronze Age.

At first glance all looks good. Take a look at the cover scan:

But then the seller does something I recommend you never do. Remember, condition is everything!

Don’t spread your copy of Star Wars #1 like this!

Live and learn!
