In an interesting article on <a href=\"http:\/\/spinoff.comicbookresources.com\/2014\/08\/17\/captain-america-ed-brubaker-stories-fit-for-film\/\" target=\"_blank\">Comic Book Resources<\/a>\u00a0all thoughts point to using a storyline from the very successful <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shareasale.com\/m-pr.cfm?merchantID=8908&amp;userID=401582&amp;productID=525423622\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Ed Brubaker run on Captain America<\/a>. \u00a0Some of the possible story lines include (and remember, this is pure speculation):<\/p>\n<p><strong>Twenty-First Century Blitz (<em>Captain America<\/em>\u00a0#18-21)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This storyline would add UK heroes\u00a0Union Jack and Spitfire.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Death Of The Dream (<em>Captain America<\/em>\u00a0#25-30)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This storyline would fix the problem of Chris Evans as the sole portrayer of Captain America and allow a follow on actor to don the Red, White and Blue\u00a0in future movies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Old Friends &amp; Enemies (<em>Captain America<\/em>\u00a0#46-48)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t like this one as much since Bucky would already have to be Captain America, a big leap from film to film.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two Americas (<em>Captain America<\/em>\u00a0#602-605)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Maybe, a lot going on here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>American Dreamers (<em>Captain America<\/em>\u00a0#1-5)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Could be but Marvel would have to move a character firmly rooted in their Earth reality to the space\/alternate dimension game. \u00a0Will they go that far? \u00a0Maybe, maybe not.<\/p>\n<p>My bet, if any of these are used, is the Death of Captain America storyline. \u00a0How about you?<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shareasale.com\/m-pr.cfm?merchantID=8908&amp;userID=401582&amp;productID=525423622\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/d2lzb5v10mb0lj.cloudfront.net\/covers_tfaw\/100\/no\/nov120786.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>\nCaptain America: The Death of Captain America Ultimate Collection TPB<\/a><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The next installment in the Captain America movie series is due in theaters May 6, 2016 and speculation has begun about the storyline.
