Action Comics #1 Sets Another Sales Record
On the heels of two million dollar sales in February, the highest graded copy of Action Comics #1, CGC 8.5, sold on comicconnect.com for $1.5 million. You can read more about this comic here.

If you want to get an idea of how Action #1 has performed as an investment, take a look the data below for sales from 2004 to 2009 (3 Sales of a CGC 2.5 Certified copy). It will be interesting to see how this high grade sale will affect lower grade prices.
Chris Evans Cast as Captain America
The First Avenger: Captain America is moving right along with Chris Evans now cast in the lead role. The news has been fast and furious over the past week or so culminating with news of the acceptance of the role reported through numerous new outlets including Reuters.
The movie is scheduled to begin shooting this summer with under the direction of Joe Johnston. This is a three movie deal plus the Avengers for Evans. Stay tuned for some Captain America comic book movie picks.

This book is a cherished piece of my collecting library that I never grow weary of reviewing. The downside? It can be difficult to find.
Chris Pedrin provides an index to the five major DC War comic books: G.I. Combat, Our Fighting Forces, All American Men of War, Star Spangled War Stories (later called Unknown Soldier), and Our Army at War (becomes Sgt. Rock)
In addition to the index is over 30 pages of articles by writers and artists from the comic books.
