How are Collectibles Holding Up?

I received an e-mail the other day from Heritage Auction House in Dallas. It was sent out as the stock market was tanking and people were running for financial cover. Heritage wanted to address the collectibles market and how they were doing.

According to Heritage all is going well.

So how are modern comic books doing in the resale market?

– Mighty Avengers 12 ($4)
– Ultimate Origins 1 Turner Variant ($25)

Wizard Top 5 Over 5 – The Value Reality

Wizard Magazine runs a popular section in their monthly price guide called “Top 5 Over 5”

I thought it would be fun to keep a tally of how they are doing online with some real sales.

Out picks for this time (Wizard price in “()” ):

– Watchmen 1 ($35) (comic book movie tie-in – I like it)
– New Mutants 98 ($30) (ditto)
