Giant Size X-men on the Move? A Surprising Sale

If you’re a Comic Book Secrets Member’s Only free subscriber, you’ve probably taken a look at the auctions and sales prices for Giant Size X-men. If you haven’t, I recommend you use the price watching tools provided for you.

I’ve been keeping an eye on some Giant Size X-men #1’s and actually had a low bid on an auction that just ended. The auction ended Saturday for a book described as Fine- by the seller. This was due to some staining on the front and back and small chip from the cover. The book was “raw” or ungraded and sold for $355.99! This is pretty amazing since the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide puts this book around $150 in Fine condition. A copy sold in June for $201, and that was in CGC 6.5 (Fine +) condition. I’ll be watching this book to see if we are seeing the start of a movement or if this was just an aberration.

Here is a look at the book:

Make sure to check out the CGC Census Data on this book.
