Sorry to hear about your uncle. There may be some valuable comics in the boxes you have acquired, especially those from the 1970′s. Superhero titles like you mentioned (Spider-man, Hulk and Batman) remain in demand. Since you have several boxes you will probably want to get an Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide to start going over the collection. To get a head start on finding the values check out the Instant Comic Book Values and Price Guide and Comic Book Grading Basics posts. Follow the tips and tricks in those posts. After you get some idea of the value you’ll have to decide whether you want to sell them or become a collector yourself. Best of luck and let me know how it goes.

Unfortunately both of those comics are part of the 1980′s “glut” and aren’t worth very much. They can be found in many 25 cent to $1 bins at comic book conventions.

my uncle pasted away and has boxes and boxes of comics does anyone know how to find out of any of these have value. alot of them are from 1975 to 1985. alot of spiderman and incredible hulk and batman etc. thanks

Well I have two comic books in pretty good condition.
The first is a #4 four issue limited edition series: x-men vs. the avengers published in 1987.
And the last is a 48 page anniversary special: Iron Man published in 1992.
If you could, I’d like to know how much each of these would be worth.

I am wondering the value of “Spectacular Spider-Man (Vol. 1) #101″ my copy is either very fine or near mint. however my copy is numbered 1/10 and signed by stan lee with a certificate of authenticity. does this increase the value at all? i’m having trouble gauging a value for it. thank you very much

The modern comic books aren't worth much for the most part, but I would have to see a complete list to be certain. Your most valuable issues probably lie in the 1970's books. Giant Size comics from DC are in demand, especially in high grade. Make sure you check out the free online price guide and value resource to check on some of the values and don't leave out the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide as a research tool.
