Avengers #1 CGC 9.4 For Sale

This comic has really showed some movement, a lot of it probably due to the Avengers movie. The copy pictured above is offered for $100,000 at comiclink.

Avengers #1 joins Avengers #4 as a “blue chip” Silver Age comic book. The price history has been steady for both with an uptick in 2010-2011 with the movie getting closer to release. Avengers #1 is a key copy and in our opinion shows the potential to keep is price, with the caveat that there could be a slight retreat after the movie is released – be careful.

A CGC 9.4 copy did sell for $65,100 in 2009 and Very Good 4.0 copies have been on the march in the $800 range.
